WordPirates
Rules and Regulations
WordPirates is a place to point out and discuss words
that have had their meanings distorted, probably on purpose, to achieve
a commercial, political or selfish end.
The rules for participating are those of any civil conversation:
Stay on topic. Don't flame. Don't spam. Don't post illegal stuff, including
libelous comments.
We don't intend to monitor every discussion, but we may
remove messages that violate these rules, using our judgment.
Privacy Policy
We are absolutists about protecting your privacy.
This is a non-commercial site with no commercial aims.
You don't have to supply your name or email address to
participate.
We are not keeping a list of who posts or who visits.
We will never ever ever provide your name or email address
to any other organization (unless the law requires us to, of course).
We will never spam you, although it's barely possible
that for some administrative reason we will need to contact you.
Who Owns What You Post
Here
You are responsible for your words, so don't be a jerk
on purpose.
This is a public site. It is protected by a Creative
Commons license that says that anyone can use its contents without
asking our permission so long as it's not for commercial purposes. (You
can read the entire license here.)
That license applies to what you post on this site.
By posting onto this site, you are making your words available
to the public. The public may decide to use them. If we - Dan and David
- user your words, we will attribute them to you according to how you
signed them.
Once you post something, it's public and not subject to
recall, not even in California.
