I'll tell you what it's not: 1. A descriptive word for every time one happens to feel "spiritual" (and that word is a whole other story). 2. A descriptive term for every contradiction in circumstance or paradox in thought. 3. A cool word to absolve cutthroat business practices or justify silly hobbies. (e.g. kind of a zen thing, the zen of it, that's so zen) A school of Buddhism focused on meditation, intuition, and awareness, there's room for flexibility on its usage, but it's gone too far in the above cases.
