repurpose
first of all, I've never read/heard/used the word "purpose" to mean use. "I purposed the brush". No. So how do you add "re" and all the sudden we have a new verb, which just means "to reuse." "I purpose to write the history of England from the accession of King James the Second down to a time which is within the memory of men still living. --Macaulay." Great. I'm going to repurpose your book.
