Once upon a time, this word meant a pleasant sounding combination of words or sounds like "cellar door" or the "shk-crack-fizz" of an ice cold beer on a hot summer day. Somehow, over time, people have misconstrued it to mean profanity. Profanity doesn't exactly sound pleasant, now, does it?
