cool
originally a jazz term for unexcitable, it is now used to describe all sorts of totally unexciting things, with the understanding that anything so totally dull and must brim with hidden virtues, as in: Q: "I just got my eyelid pierced and bought Windows XE. Wadja think?" A: "Cool!"
